Why would Disney make a 2D film when all the hype surrounding the 3D revolution is being shoved down our throats? Well, perhaps some stories lend themselves better to different formats (like 2D). That's not to say that this film, along with classics like The Lion King or The Little Mermaid wouldn't look great in 3D. All this aside, it really comes down to story and what resonates with the audience. I truly hope Disney can return to their golden age of animation with The Princess and the Frog. Take a look:

I hadn't heard about "The Princess & The Frog," but played the trailer for Jen, and now we're both equally excited for the genius of Disney...but how can you be so down on the 3D, especially when it comes in a double feature of "Toy Story" 1 and 2 (the under-appreciated, yet equally valid sequel)?
