MGMT

These guys have been blogged about and talked about to death, so I'll keep this post short. Their album Oracular Spectacular is simply radical. Their lyrics are refreshing and very funny. They wore black capes during their appearance on Letterman (which they may or may not wear in everyday life... but I like to think they do). I look forward to their next album and a tour of Australia some time soon. MGMT -- take a look!

Cowboy vs Cripple

I think Midnight Cowboy might be my favourite film in the NYC setting. Here's a quick clip from the picture:

Fully Flared

This intro to Lakai's Fully Flared skate film is coooo! I love the smell of napalm in the morning. And the sounds of M83.

Crüe Cüts

The Crüe are back, baby! Here is the video for the first single off their new album (due sometime in June). Rarrrrrrrrr! It makes me wanna loot the streets and set something on fire!!! Meh, I'll probably just watch Curb instead:
"Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild."

Rock On

Remember this from the nineties? The thought of a McDonalds hamburger makes me wanna puke, but the MacTime campaign doubled profits for the company after only two years, owing to the release of some pretty slick commercials. I stumbled across these just moments ago and remembered how much I loved the James Dean concept. Oh, and what ever happened to guitar prodigy Nathan Cavalieri? The kid sure could play a gee-tar!

Phil vs Dave

Right at this very moment, I can hear Dr. Phil's voice on the TV in the background. It got me thinking about an episode of the Late Show I watched back in February and why I think Letterman is the greatest of all talk show hosts and in the upper echelon (what an awesome word) of American comedians. Go Dave!

Tibetan Fox

Image

"Here we have the Tibetan Fox. His thick fur protects him from the wintry surroundings, but you have to ask, why the square head?"
