Could David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button be this year's Forrest Gump? Both are penned by writer Eric Roth and what I can gather from watching the trailer, share the same kind of whimsical quality. The effects work that transforms Pitt into an old man looks pretty amazing. I've waited a long time to see a concept like this make it to the screen -- the idea of a man who ages backwards while those around him grow older. I'm really looking forward to this film.

Great Album Covers: Audioslave
Another piece from Storm Thorgerson. This is the debut album from rock supergroup Audioslave. In the record store, I always found this cover particularly striking and so I have chosen to post it. Simple.

Gurning
This from Wikipedia:
"A gurn is a distorted facial expression, and a verb to describe the action. A typical gurn might involve projecting the lower jaw as far forward and up as possible, and covering the upper lip with the lower lip."
The World Gurning Championship is held annually in Egremont, Cumbria. Here's a photograph of the current World Champion Tommy Mattinson and his brief encounter with QEII just yesterday.

Apparently Prince Philip quipped, "Don't stay like that for too long or your face will stay like that." Pff, sure Your Royal Highness. Click here for more pictures from the 2004 championships.
