Oingo Boingo Oingo Boingo Oingo Boingo! Who knew that the lead singer would compose the intro music for the greatest animated TV series of all time - The Simpsons. Now he's putting the finishing touches to the score for the new Alice in Wonderland film. Check out Danny Elfman's profile here at IMDB. Now, for a catchy little song that I can't get out of my head. Keep an eye out for the creepy bass player. Yikes!

Dead Weather: TMLYM
Three years in the wilderness and Jonathan Glazer returns with a music clip that screams out: "Snap! Fuckin' awesome!!" This one's for Jack White's Dead Weather experiment, and it's a fairly simple concept. Leather, machine guns, and White walking around a suburban land vacancy.
Glazer is responsible for some of my favourite commercials and music videos. There's the Guinness Surfer and Dreamer adverts. Levi Strauss' Odyssey. I'll continue on with the music videos. Radiohead's Karma Police. UNKLE's Rabbit In Your Headlight's. Jamiroquai's Virtual Insanity. Anyone interested in music video should really check out the Director's Label DVD series and in particular, the work of director Jonathan Glazer. He demonstrates a strong european style across all of his work and it's really refreshing to go back over his showreel and embrace the "grainy" feel. Forget high-def gloss. I want something more rugged. Something like this:

Alice in Wonderland: Teaser
The teaser for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland remake has leaked online. Wow!! The Cheshire Cat is creepy. The Tweedles are still fat. And the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) still nuts. I think the original animation is up there in Disney's top 3 of all-time. But, maybe that's just me. I'm interested to see what Burton does with the croquet and the dodo birds. Pretty excited for this. Take a look.
