Arcade Fire: 'The Suburbs'

Arcade Fire have just released a vid for 'The Suburbs', the title track from their new LP. It's directed by Spike Jonze, it was shot in Austin, Texas, and it looks like a whole lotta fun. That is until it turns all nasty and violent! Kids these days. I've read elsewhere that the video is just an excerpt from a slightly longer short film (oxymoron?) that the band and Jonze have been collaborating on. Lead vocalist Win Butler calls it "a science-fiction B-movie companion piece for the record." I like the sound of that. Hopefully in its entirety we'll be able to make some more sense of this.....
