Beastie Boys: 'Don’t Play No Games That I Can’t Win'

Here's the new Beastie Boys clip directed by Spike Jonze. It's another novel idea that we've come to expect from Jonze, this time incorporating old-school action figurines blowing each other up and a special appearance by Santigold. It's also interesting to know that the video was shot in the style of live-action and not stop animation. Kinda difficult if you ask me, but I guess that's why we appreciate Jonze's work so much. There's also a reference in there of Mike D going solo. Not sure whether to take that seriously or not. Overall, it's a pretty cool clip even if the concept wears off by the end. Mostly I dig it because it reminds me of all the figurines I used to mess around with when I was a kid (check out this earlier post on toys). But if I'd had the choice of a G.I. Joe or Ad-Rock when I was playing action heroes, I know which one I'm picking: The guy who spits the illest rhymes!
